Hi there,
My name is Leah and I am a journalist.
I am a UBC alum and BCIT Broadcast and Online Journalism graduate where I earned the Stowe achievement award that recognizes top students for academics, work ethic, and engagement.
At BCIT, I fostered my passion for storytelling through audio, visual, and digital mediums. The most memorable story I produced during my studies combined all three platforms to explore the lives of retired racehorses coming off Hastings racecourse.
Whether it’s sun protection or seal safety, I tend to gravitate toward informational stories that answer burning questions.
Talking to locals about what they are doing and why is my favourite thing and I try to include as many four-legged (or finned) friends into my stories as possible.
I’m looking forward to using my education and curiosity to propel my career forward in the beautiful city of Vancouver.
